Medicolegal
Dr. Paramothayan has a Masters in Medical Law (LLM) from the University of Cardiff (2012). Her dissertation was entitled “Causation in Clinical Negligence”.
She attends medicolegal seminars, conferences, and workshops for Expert Witnesses every year.
Dr. Paramothayan is a Fellow of the Faculty of Expert Witnesses for Doctors.
She has completed approximately 80 medicolegal reports. 70% of instructions were from the prosecution solicitor, 30% from the defence solicitor and a few were joint reports. She has attended court on two occasions.
She is experienced in writing detailed, compliant reports within a reasonable timeframe and has received excellent feedback from the instructing solicitors.
